FAQs

How much climate knowledge do I need to join?

None at all. The game is designed for complete beginners through to sustainability professionals, everyone learns together by linking the cards.

Who is it for?

Climate Fresk is for anyone interested in understanding climate change, no prior knowledge needed. It’s ideal for students, professionals, educators, communities and teams. Whether you’re new to the topic or already engaged, the workshop helps connect the dots and sparks meaningful conversations across all ages and backgrounds.

Can children take part?

Yes, there’s a special version of Climate Fresk designed for kids aged 10 and up. It uses simpler language and fewer cards, making it easier to follow while still engaging and educational. It’s a great way to introduce younger participants to climate science in a collaborative and age-appropriate way..

How long does a workshop take?

Standard format is 3 hours: 90 min for the card game, 30 min creative phase, 60 min debrief & action planning.

Can it be delivered online?

Yes. We run virtual sessions on Zoom/Teams using Mural or Miro boards. The experience is just as interactive, with participants collaborating in real time from anywhere in the world. All you need is a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop to join.

What group size is best?

Up to 14 participants per trained facilitator. Larger audiences simply split into multiple tables or breakout rooms.

What happens after the workshop?

After the workshop, you’ll receive a follow-up email with resources, event links, and ways to stay involved. You can train to become a facilitator. Many participants stay connected through local groups, WhatsApp communities or by organizing workshops in their schools or workplaces.
